The master class facilitator will be renowned Walla Walla artist Robert Kleinboonschate who has lived in Australia since 1971.
Robert has been particularly inspired by the philosophy and art of the Indigenous Peoples of Australia after living and working in Alice Springs and the surrounding region. With an impressive body of work and many years of experience as an artist and art instructor, Robert will mentor workshop participants over the four days of the Upstream Festival.
Join one or all of the available workshops and enjoy the workshop environment. On Friday March 6 begin with the Drawing Workshop and gain expertise with pencil, charcoal andpaper. On the weekend of March 7 & 8 is the Still Life Workshop where you can gain expertise with set up and learn to interpret volumes, composition, and space. On Monday March 9 is the final workshop, Modelling for Bronze, where participants can gain expertise in wax modeling for the casting of bronze sculpture.
