MARY-JANE GRIGG

Griggs has been involved in the growth and development of the visual arts community in the regional district of Albury/Wodonga for the past 30 years, as a member of the Albury Regional Art Gallery’s Management Committee/Advisory Committee and as a Visual Arts lecturer for TAFE NSW in Albury and Wagga Wagga teaching painting, drawing and art theory.

Griggs’ practice of painting is centred on colour and strong surface to build abstract spaces derived from external sources.

Located in Albury NSW since 1988, Griggs has held 17 solo shows locally, regionally and in Sydney as well as exhibiting in many group and survey exhibitions.
