Using structure, composition and colour, Burger’s art is about discovering new ways to invigorate the painting process and about finding new meanings in the process of creating. Burger works in oils on linen and also in gouache, pastel and charcoal on paper. Recently Burger has worked on a series of lino-cuts which reinvent the drawings from his sketchbooks.
